I had promised several people I was going to post this new journal this weekend and I honestly was going to. But DA being a bugger tonight. So I decided to type this up tonight but I will have to post it tomorrow.
So instead all I did today was go to The Star Trek Phase 2 site. I had heard of this ite over a year ago. But I had troubles with the downloads. I read an article on the Sci-Fi channel praising the work of this producer James Cawley. Who was making a version of Star Trek that takes place after the first five year mission and picks up after the series was canceled.
Many Star Trek original cast members have been on the show and that was the main attraction for me. I love it. My favorite episode so far is the one that stars the original actor who played Chekhov Walter Koenig is in the series reprising his role once again. It brought tears to mine yes. Plus I am sure all you trekkies out there will recognize the lady who plays the ambassador. I also love the one that bring back our beloved Sulu. George Takei.
Even in the first few episodes many actors from the original series make an appearance. But I wont spoil it for you. For a true star trek fan I highly recommend the series. They stay very true to Gene Roddenberrys vision. The casting is incredible. The best of course is the kid who took over the part of Chekhov. He really does look the part. As does the actor who now plays Scotty. So go watch the shows. I am sure my fellow trekkies will love them.. Here is the link

This is a long one folks, so grab something to drink and snack on and Prop up those tired feet and please read.
As all of you know I am going thru some rough times. But the good news is I did get a check finally for 700 dollars and it went to food first and foremost. Then I paid as many bills as I could. My 3 major bills are my electric, my phone and my car. I decided on Tuesday that my car is not as important as my electric and phone. Without my electric I cant keep my house and without my phone I cant get a job. So I called verizon and asked them what I could pay to keep my phone. The answer was 223 dollars and as long as I pay the reminder by the 14th I will keep my phone. The remainder is 165 dollars. I did the same with my electric and they told me I have till the 14th to pay them 165 dollars for this months electric. As to my car I have until the end of July to pay the remaining balance of 450 dollars. As long as I get these bills paid I will be ok.
But here is my problem. My car broke down because of my stupidity. Its been over heating, because of a worn out thermostat. So dumbass me pulled over a few weeks ago to let the engine cool. Because once again it was over heating. I loosened my radiator cap And I left my lights on. By accident. So my battery was dead when I came back to my car an hour later. So I had a friend jump me. I was so happy that my car started that I drove off. But the temperature shot up to 265. It was getting worse. It never went that high before and I was dumbfounded. Finally I pulled over and my engine died. Low and behold my dumbass forgot to tighten the radiator cap. I had a friend look at it once I got it home and he said I just blew a gasket. So now my car has to be fixed so I can get a better job.
To add to my troubles. I received an email a month ago from Wal-Mart. Yes it really was Wal-Mart. I have a Wal-Mart card . So they were offering me what I thought was a great deal. I will show you the email in just a second.
But in the email they stated that if I joined with their bill pay plan. That they would make my first 3 bill payments for me. No matter what the amounts were. So of course I quickly signed up thinking this was a great solution to my troubles. Because with them paying my bills I could then fix my car. I even went as far as calling Wal-Mart and confirming that they were going to pay my bills for me. The guy who answered the phone told me they would. I then asked him, do I need to have any money in my account. Because all I had was 6 dollars in the account. He said no sir Wal-Mart will pay everything. I was so happy. My problem was solved.
So come Wednesday I check the account and it tells me the bills were not paid because of insufficient funds. I guess you can imagine how angry I was. But I figured maybe they had made a mistake.
So again I called Wal-Mart. This time they told me I miss read the email. I asked how could I misread it. When it clearly states they will pay for my first 3 bill payments.
I ask you dear readers and friends. How would you interpret that statement? Please click this thumb :thumbWalmart-1-90927560:
[link] and read the email.
Now after reading that I am sure you notice the asterisk next to the word payment. Well click this thumb then you can read the fine print. Now I do admit it states they will pay credit the charge of 88 cents to the account. But it says that they will pay the TRANSACTION FEE for the BILL PAYMENT But I see no where in here a statement saying the transaction fee is all they are paying for.
Do you see how misleading this is? I think it would make any person think Wal-Mart is being generous and offering to pay their first 3 bills for them. I thought that was a brilliant way for them to advertise their new card. In fact it would save them so much in advertising. Because I know I would tell everyone about. As would most people I know. Wouldnt you?
I even spoke to Danny who is the supervisor of the phone center for Wal-Marts money card. He went on to state that it clearly says, and thats when I responded no it does not clearly state that that the transaction fee is what they were talking about. I said if anything it clearly states that Wal-Mart will make my first 3 bill payments. I have had three other bill collectors look at this and they agreed with me. They agree that Wal-Mart is wrong.
I told them if my bills dont get paid I will lose my car and my house and my phone. Because I promised them that Wal-Mart was going to pay them.
The day the first guy told me that my bills would be paid by Wal-Mart, I called all my bill holders and told them Wal-Mart was going pay them for me. So not only was I angry, but I was also embarrassed at my promise to them being broke. I told them if they did not pay these bill then I would be forced to sue them. Something I do not want to do. So finally a lawyer called me and told me the same thing that Wal-Mart is stating clearly that they are only paying for the 88 cent charge. I tried to explain to him that no one with any common sense will see that. I even told him what Wal-Mart was doing is fraudulent, And it is. He told me it was not but in fact it is. He said fraud is by interpretation an act committed with the intent to commit fraud. But I have spoken to several other companies. Verizon completely agree with me on this and is now reporting Wal-Mart for fraud. It is fraud even if it was not intentional and it is a binding contract.
The lawyer told me point blank that Wal-Mart refuses to pay these bills for, thus thoroughly and completely screwing me over. Now I cant fix my car because these assholes refuse to stick to the contract they sent me. The email can be considered a contract. So I ask you my friend what would you do. Should I sue them? I also threatened to take this to the news companies. I told him a thousands dollars is a lot cheaper than what this is going to end up costing them. If I do get a lawyer we are talking a lawsuit that run into the millions.
If you want I will post Wal-Marts number and I hope you deluge them with calls about this injustice and dishonesty on their part. At the very least please tell me you thoughts on what I should do.
